What Really Determines the Cost of a Fence?
One of the questions I hear almost every day is, "How much will a new fence cost?" The honest answer is that every property is different, but a few key factors make the biggest difference.
The type of fence you choose—wood, vinyl, aluminum, or composite—is just the starting point. Property size, gate locations, ground conditions, HOA requirements, and even the slope of your yard can all affect the final price. That's why two fences that look similar can have very different costs.
My advice is simple: don't shop for the lowest price—shop for the best value. A properly built fence with quality materials and solid craftsmanship will last for years, while cutting corners often leads to repairs much sooner than expected.
